Information ClevTools may process

  • Account details such as name, username, email address, profile settings, team membership, and login/security events.
  • Content you create or upload, including boards, planner cards, text, images, files, comments, exports, and support messages.
  • Billing and subscription records needed to provide paid access, invoices, payment status, plan history, and fraud prevention. Full card details are handled by the payment provider.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps, request logs, error logs, and security signals.
  • Usage data about pages, tools, feature usage, referrals, and performance when analytics cookies are accepted.
  • Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for preferences, sessions, analytics, and advertising where allowed.

Why we process information

We process information to provide the tools, save boards and settings, manage accounts, handle subscriptions, answer support requests, protect the service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure pages visited, browser/device information and interactions so we can improve the service. Advertising, Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.

The legal basis depends on the context: contract performance for account and paid features, legitimate interests for security and service reliability, legal obligations for accounting and compliance, and consent for non-essential analytics or marketing cookies where required.

Cookie policy

Necessary cookies and local storage are used for security, login sessions, appearance preferences, sidebar state, and similar functions that make the site work.

Analytics cookies are optional and are used only when accepted. They help measure traffic and product usage through Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is not loaded before you accept analytics. AdSense and advertising tags are not loaded. The Google Consent Mode v2 advertising settings remain denied.

You can reject analytics or withdraw your consent at any time using Cookie settings, available on every application page. Withdrawal stops further Analytics measurement and removes accessible first-party Analytics cookies. It does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing or automatically erase data already received by Google.

Your choice applies to this browser and device for 12 months. We ask again when it expires or when the consent policy changes. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only until this page is closed or reloaded.

Cookies and local storage in detail

  • clevtools-session and XSRF-TOKEN — ClevTools; necessary sign-in/session state and protection against forged requests. Up to 120 minutes, renewed during active use.
  • remember_web_* — ClevTools; keeps you signed in when you select Remember me. Up to 400 days, unless removed earlier by signing out or clearing cookies.
  • appearance — ClevTools; your selected light/dark theme. Cookie: up to 365 days. The local-storage preference and drawsy-theme remain until you change them or clear site data.
  • sidebar_state — ClevTools; remembers whether the sidebar is open. Up to 7 days.
  • clevtools-cookie-consent — ClevTools local storage; records your analytics choice, consent version and time. Valid for 365 days; then replaced when you make a new choice. It is not used for tracking.
  • _ga and _ga_* — Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited; optional browser identification and measurement of visits and sessions. Configured for up to 365 days without extending cookie expiry on each visit. Browsers may apply shorter limits.
  • Tool drafts, workspace preferences and saved work — ClevTools browser storage; supports the tool you use and recovery of your work. Local storage remains until you delete the data or clear site data; session storage lasts for the browser tab/session.

Third-party services

ClevTools may use service providers for hosting, email, analytics, advertising, payment processing, security, and product operations. They may process data only for the relevant service purpose.

When you accept analytics, Google Ireland Limited receives usage and technical data. Connecting to Google also discloses your IP address. We do not enable Google signals or advertising personalisation. Payment providers process payment information according to their own role and legal obligations.

Google may process information outside the EU/EEA. Google describes its processing locations, contractual terms and international-transfer safeguards in its privacy and data-processing policies. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.

ClevTools does not sell personal information as a standalone product.

Storage and retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, including account operation, product delivery, support, security, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute handling.

Account and board content is normally kept while the account or board remains active, unless deleted earlier through product controls or support handling. Technical logs are kept for a limited operational period unless needed for security or legal reasons.

Accounting, billing, and transaction records may be kept for the period required by applicable bookkeeping and tax rules.

Your rights

Depending on the situation, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing, receive data portability, and withdraw consent.

If you have privacy questions, contact us at info@clevtools.com or use the contact page for a direct support path.

You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency or another competent supervisory authority if you believe your personal data is handled incorrectly.
